My dad used to get up ...Hahaha...those were great!

My dad used to get up really early every morning 4:30 ish. As a result, he would fall asleep in the afternoon on the weekends or after dinner during the week. We used to put butter on his glasses so he'd wake up and not be able to see anything. Or we'd tie his work boots together.

One time, while he was napping we noticed he had a hole in his sock so we got some red glitter nail polish (do you know how hard that is to get off?) and painted his toe nail for him. We snickered for hours and then days and finally we couldn't take it anymore...we asked what he thought of it. Joke was on us because he found it right away and scraped it off and sat around listening to us make fun of him for days!Vicki Rochohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07381089434014961076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4206355073837906221.post-63412063917937164222010-06-21T14:16:49.362-07:002010-06-21T14:16:49.362-07:00Lisa, I think my brother in law shares the same al...Lisa, I think my brother in law shares the same allergy as your father. I'm so lucky to still have both my Mum and Dad in my life. Dad is a real old 'bah-humbug'. Bad news is Dad's delight! But he's a total softie who'll carefully rescue a spider (no matter how scary) from the bath and gently put it out the window or onto a leaf. He loves it when the grandkids visit, and when he renovated the house years ago he made sure the counter tops, door handles and light switches were all at the right height for my shortie Mum.
