K.M. Weiland just released her cd, "Conquering Writer's Block and Summoning Inspiration." She breaks down topics into bite-sized, easy-to-swallow pieces. She understands our joys, fears and frustrations, and offers practical tips on how we can become better writers.
Some of her other topics are "Daydream or Die," "Why You Should be Writing Scared," and "Why no writer knows what he's doing."
You can purchase K.M.'s series here. And don't forget to stop by her blog, Word Play, any time. There's always useful pieces of information and encouragement floating around on her site.
Enjoy!

Thank you so much for reading and voting for my story, Julie!
ReplyDeleteThis definitely looks like something I need. Sometimes I feel completely blocked and I ask myself those same questions. It's nice to know I'm not alone.

I've just spent four days writing a 600 word article. I had breaks: bookings, yard work, I read a new book. Everytime I was away from the computer my head was full of words. When I sat down to write, nothing! I'd rather kiss a zombie than go through that again.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info. Julie.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great addition to any writer's collection. Thanks!
ReplyDelete"useful pieces of information and encouragement floating around"... I love that image - Thank you!

ReplyDeleteIt's comforting knowing that most writers head into a first draft or revisions with that scary - not sure what I'm doing feeling!
ReplyDeleteIt isn't often that I get writer's block but I'm bookmarking this for when I do.
ReplyDeleteI follow her blog. She has lots of great information to share.
ReplyDeleteMine's more stumbling over my self confidence than writer's block, but maybe that's one in the same thing? ;O)

ReplyDeleteDaydream or die. I'll take daydream.
ReplyDeleteI think it is the same for many creati2ve pursuits. Many times you just need to get out of your own way.
